MARGO COLLECTION OFFERS OPEN-CLOSED DESIGN FOR CONTEMPORARY SPACES

New Versatile Collection Includes Shelving, Storage and Media Furniture

CHANTILLY, VA — April 2019 – Combining modern engineering with classic sensibility, BDI’s new Margo Collection offers a contemporary aesthetic with striking lines for a stand-out collection. Ideal for a variety of spaces and uses. Margo will debut in BDI’s showroom during the Spring High Point Market, IHFC D536.

Designed by Jeff Bare, the full collection includes a storage cabinet and media console, a shelf unit and a multifunctional storage cabinet—each combining open shelving with closed storage.

Embracing contemporary European styling, Margo makes use of pops of color offset by wood tones. Margo’s smart design boasts a soft-closing sliding door that can be positioned on either side or in the middle of the storage compartments. The door serves not only to conceal stored items, but to provide a visual design appeal that is as striking as it is functional.

The collection is available in a contemporary Drift Oak finish, or a warm Toasted Walnut finish, and the sliding door is available in three color finishes: Fog Grey, Cayenne or Marine.

Margo’s three distinct models are designed to serve a variety of functions:

  • The 5201 Shelf is a four-tier shelf design with a fixed storage compartment on the second level. The fixed shelves can each hold up to 100 lbs. and feature a three-sided framed-in design to help keep items in place. Margo’s steel frame provides sturdy overall support, while an anti-tip safety strap is included for added security.
  • The 5211 Console is suitable for use as an entry console, light-use AV media cabinet or general storage. The storage compartment has a component capacity of up to 100 lbs., while the upper shelf – which is elevated by an artistic steel support – can carry a TV up to 65”. The space in-between is also ideal for hosting a small soundbar or other streaming media equipment.
  • The 5229 Cabinet features a multi-use design that is suitable as a media system or general storage. The soft-closing sliding door reveals storage drawers on the right and adjustable shelving for components on the right. When used as a media cabinet, the integrated wire management channel allows for use with a TV up to 85” and a compact media system.
