CHANTILLY, VA — February 22, 2018 – Whether you’re watching your favorite show or turning up the volume to your favorite music, quality sound matters. With that in mind, premier furniture manufacturer, BDI, has developed three new designs that allow clear, evenly dispersed sound to come from your electronics, all while keeping them safely concealed and well ventilated.

“Sound should be heard, not seen,” said Lorri Kelley, President of BDI. “That is why we designed features like acoustically transparent doors, flow-through ventilation, and adjustable shelves in some of our latest media cabinets. Our unique designs make it possible to keep your electronics out of sight while maximizing their use and their shelf life.”

With BDI’s latest media cabinets, electronics such as soundbars and other AV and gaming equipment are perfectly concealed behind the doors, without interfering with the sound quality. Some of these designs now shipping to retailers nationwide include:

Olis: Available in BDI’s new Toasted Walnut finish, Olis is ahead of the curve on design, with its gently rounded edges and beautifully louvered doors. Designed by Louis A. Lara, Olis offers an ideal home for a TV and media system, including a dedicated soundbar shelf and space for other components, with complete acoustic transparency and easy access via remote control. Olis can hold up to a 65” TV.

The two-door model can hold up to a 60” TV, while the four-door console can stage an 80” TV.

Octave: Designed by Matthew Weatherly, Octave is a media cabinet that truly looks as good as it sounds. The console’s trademark feature is its unique perforated steel doors that allow sound to pass through, providing a full acoustic experience and ultimate functionality. Octave comes in a three-door and four-door console, and is available in the new Drift Oak or Toasted Walnut finishes.
