New Site Focuses on Design Innovation, Enhanced User Experience

CHANTILLY, VA – May 22, 2017 – Furniture manufacturer BDI has made a name for itself as a high-end designer of modern living, entertainment and workplace furniture. Today, with the launch of its new website, the company brings that same innovation to a new online experience.
The website still resides at, but the newly redesigned version better emphasizes the designs and innovative features that set apart BDI’s media furniture, office solutions, tables, bars and modular systems. More importantly, the site offers visitors an in-depth and personal view of the inspiration behind the collections, improved and intuitive navigation for a richer user experience, and the site is fully responsive and compatible with mobile, desktop and tablet devices.

“As a company that has been around for more than 30 years, we have a lot to say about what great design can – and should – be for home, entertainment and office furniture.

With enhanced functionality, the site guides users through the creation and innovation behind BDI’s collections. In this journey, visitors are also able to easily discover complementary and related BDI products that may be of interest to them. The site offers multiple views of each design in the BDI collection, including interactive image galleries in every finish available.

In consideration of BDI’s retailers, the new website includes an easy to use retail locator to guide consumers to the nearest location. An enhanced retail partner intranet area, with access to images, videos, creative materials and product sheets, makes the site an important resource for retailers to access information and materials.

The new site was designed in partnership with Viget, a Northern Virginia-based digital strategy and design firm. Adds Lorri Kelley, President of BDI, “It was particularly refreshing to partner with a team such as Viget where they became so deeply aware of our goals and mission that it was difficult to tell where our internal team stopped and Viget began. We are so proud of the site and how it will benefit our retail partners and their consumers – it has been a great collaboration.”
According to Adams, the ultimate goal of the redesign was to represent both the originality of BDI’s designs and the everyday functionality of the collection. “For too long, consumers have had to make a choice between furniture that’s strikingly beautiful, and furniture that’s highly functional,” said Adams. “BDI provides consumers with both and our brand new website illustrates this beautifully.”
