Proceeds from sales to benefit treatment and research at City of Hope

CHANTILLY, VA — September 20, 2017BDI, a premiere furniture designer and manufacturer, is on the brink of pink as the latest edition of its popular Bink Mobile Media Table will be available this month. Currently offered in seven colors, Bink is now shipping to retailers nationwide in a fresh pink hue, with proceeds from sales of Pink Bink benefitting breast cancer research at City of Hope, a world leader in research and the treatment of cancer, diabetes and other serious diseases.

Under the #ThinkPinkBink campaign, consumers can start shopping for Pink Bink in mid-September online and through participating retail stores nationwide. The limited series Pink Bink will be available through the end of the year, or as product lasts. More information can be found at www.bdiusa.com/thinkpink.

Lorri Kelley, president of BDI, is active on the board with City of Hope, and has seen first hand the impact the organization has on cancer patients and families.

“With more than 250,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer alone each year, this is a horrific disease that affects so many people and their families,” said Kelley. “In fact, it is a disease that has touched the BDI family personally, as three of our own are currently fighting breast cancer. It is our hope that proceeds from the sale of Pink Bink can go a long way in not only supporting the outstanding cancer treatment and research programs at City of Hope, but also in helping give so many families – including the BDI family – hope for a cancer-free tomorrow.”

Designed by Matthew Weatherly, the best-selling Bink is widely popular as a mobile media table, perfect for everything from a compact work surface, to a casual side table. Constructed with steel and aluminum, Pink Bink is UVA/UVB protected, so it can be used inside or outdoors. Weighing only 23 lbs., Bink is lightweight and is designed to easily slide on floor surfaces and under sofas or chairs.

The Pink Bink features the official pink hue of the National Breast Cancer Association, and boasts a custom designed BDI breast cancer awareness ribbon on its base, allowing retailers and consumers alike to show their support for this cause.

“We are hoping to put Pink Bink in the hands of as many consumers as possible, and ultimately make a significant contribution to the incredible and life-saving work City of Hope is doing every day,” added Kelley. “Whether for personal use, or as a gift to someone fighting the fight, we feel the #ThinkPinkBink initiative will be a wonderful way for many people to do something special – and help make a difference for so many!”

During the October High Point Market, BDI will celebrate its #ThinkPinkBink initiative during its annual fall party for retail partners and special guests on Saturday, October 14th from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. The party will feature hors d'oeuvres, pink-themed refreshments and all BDI team members dressed in pink. Retailers will have an opportunity to see Pink Bink first hand and place orders for it in the BDI showroom, located in the IHFC Design Center, Space 536.
