Monday in the office, a Tuesday morning flight followed by two days of meetings and living out of a suitcase. Then, a late flight home Wednesday night, and wrapping up the week trying to get caught up on the day-to-day tasks of doing business in today’s non-stop world.
Sound familiar? As a business executive, I can certainly relate. That in a nutshell is my schedule almost every week!
So after a hectic week, my very favorite activity is nothing more than relaxing and having the chance to spend time with family and friends from the comfort of my own home. And, guess what? A growing number of consumers feel the same way.
For so many these days, spending Saturday and Sunday at home doesn’t just mean a weekend full of chores and lounging around. It means movie nights with the family or having friends and colleagues over for dinner and drinks. It means trading cover charges, large crowds, and big restaurant checks for a much more intimate and comfortable setting where you get to pick the guests, music, menu, and even the décor.
