When first introduced, Avion set the gold standard for quality home theater cabinetry. In addition to new model configurations, Avion Series II enhancements include a linear, satin stainless steel base that complements the cabinet and provides superior structural rigidity, the addition of soft-close doors, larger windows in the doors to allow greater IR capabilities, and more generous cable management channels.

Thorough Engineering
Every detail of Avion has been thoughtfully reengineered with Series II. Adjustable shelves, integrated cable management and quick-release door hinges make setup of your system simple. A steel reinforced top panel provides added security for your home theater. Avion’s gray tinted glass door inserts are IR-remote compatible, keeping components out of sight yet readily accessible. Versatile compartments can be used for media storage, gaming consoles and speaker placement. See model details for specific configurations.
Speaker & Media Compartment
Three of the Avion Series II models include a concealed compartment designed for a center channel speaker and media storage. Models 8927 & 8929 have a speaker/media drawer while model 8928 features a compartment with a flip down door. The front of the compartment includes a speaker-fabric panel insert, allowing the speaker’s sound to come right through while integrated channels keep speaker wires out of sight. Compartments are designed to hold a center channel speaker (up to 7.25" tall) and/or DVD and CD placement. On models 8927 & 8929, the drawer easily removes to reveal a finished shelf to hold a center channel speaker up to 8.25" tall.
Arena Flat Panel TV Mount Compatible
BDI’s new Arena Flat Panel TV Mount is an innovative alternative to wall mounting. Engineered in two models, Arena model 9970 attaches directly to many of BDI’s new cabinets, including Avion Series II models 8927 & 8929. Arena model 9972 serves as a freestanding mount for other applicable home theater cabinets, including Avion Series II models 8925 & 8928. The universal mounting bracket features an integrated swivel that provides easy adjustment of viewing angle with just the touch of a finger, and is designed for use with 40" – 60" TVs. The screen mounts at any of Arena’s pre-set heights and integrated cable management channels keep cables neatly out of sight.
High Quality Finish & Hardware
The rich and luxurious wood finish of Avion Series II adds beauty to any room. The collection is available in two finishes: Natural Stained Cherry & Espresso on Oak. The unique soft-close hinges on Avion’s doors are fully adjustable to ensure that doors hang evenly, swing smoothly and close gently. Utilizing the finest European-style hardware, door handles and other details are beautifully finished to exude quality at every turn.
Back Panels & Cable Management
Avion Series II is engineered to keep the usual tangle of cables and connections neatly under control. Cabinets feature removable/sliding ventilated back panels for easy access to the rear of components and wiring. Velcro® straps are provided to keep cables organized and integrated routing channels provide space for speaker and TV cables to be kept neatly out of sight.
Concealed Wheels & Levelers
Concealed wheels and levelers are built into the leg assembly of BDI home theater cabinets, including Avion Series II. Hidden wheels mean that – even if your cabinet is fully loaded – it can easily be moved away from the wall for easy access to cables and connections. Levelers in the leg assembly allow adjustment of front and rear height and are conveniently accessible from inside the cabinet. If desired, levelers may be fully extended, lifting the cabinet off of its wheels so it no longer rolls.
Flow-through Ventilation
In order to perform at peak levels, it is important for components to expel heat. Avion Series II facilitates airflow through generous ventilation slots integrated into the bottom panel, wood shelves, and removable back panels. Cooler air is drawn in from the bottom of the cabinet, while hot air is naturally expelled out the back of the cabinet.
